Deep complex ruby red color, intense and fascinating on the nose, in which hints of black currant, blackberry and raspberry stand out, combined with delicate notes of vanilla and liquorice and spicy hints of cinnamon and cloves. In mouth velvety and savoury, enveloping and warm, with round and harmonious tannins, shows a well-fused freshness with soft notes. Pleasant and long finish closes with tones of fruit and spices.
Excellent with grilled roast meats and high mountain game (roe deer, venison, chamois). Its full flavour harmonizes perfectly with seasoned hard pasta cheeses, such as Montasio. Excellent in particular with Sauris speck, polenta with cracklings and Pitina Della Val Tramontina.
